Satisfactory were the results of the 47th Kastoria International Fur Fair, which took place from 25 to 28 August 2022 at the Internal Exhibition Center of Kastoria, the largest exhibition center in the Balkans.
A total of 64 exhibitors from Greece, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Hungary participated, presenting their top-quality, haute couture furs.
Dozens of commercial traders from all over the world attended, namely from, Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Moldavia, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. Visitors had the opportunity to browse the merchandise at the exhibitors’ stalls and admire fur coats, fur accessories, handbags, leather goods, and fur hides. According to the data collected, numerous deals were made between commercial buyers and fur businesses.
During the Fair, the Kastoria Fur Association held a cocktail party in honor of the exhibitors and commercial buyers. In addition, creations by fashion designers from West Macedonia were showcased in specially designed spaces. Exhibits from the Contemporary Museum of the Art of Fur-making —now under construction—were also presented.
The 47th Kastoria International Fur Fair was co-organized by the Kastoria Fur Association, TIF-HELEXPO, the West Macedonia Prefecture, the Regional Unit of Kastoria, and the Municipality of Kastoria. The Grand Sponsor was the Saga Furs Auction House.
Next on the agenda is the 7th Fur Shopping Festival, which is to take place on 12-14 October 2022, organized by the Kastoria Fur Association at the International Exhibition of Kastoria.
