INVISTA Launches New Navy Blue CORDURA® TrueLock™ Fabric  Innovative, long-lasting color that stays true – Solution Dyed Nylon (SDN) Technology for unparalleled color durability

INVISTA owned CORDURA® Advanced Fabrics introduces its latest innovation in solution-dyed (SDN) nylon 6,6 fiber technology: `Navy Blue´ CORDURA® TrueLock™ Fabric – to propel and underscore its commitment to best-in-class solution-dyed nylon 6,6 fiber technology innovation and its commitment to developing the durable, sustainable fabric solutions of tomorrow. The new Navy Blue color will debut at SHOT Show Supplier Showcase in Las Vegas  (January 16-17, 2023).

CORDURA® TrueLock™ Fabric is engineered with high-tenacity nylon 6,6 multi-filament fiber that locks in the color at the molten polymer extrusion level to create deep, durable color throughout the entire fiber structure. CORDURA® TrueLock™ Fabric has excellent color fastness, UV-fade and abrasion resistance, extended UV strength stability, and long-lasting color vibrancy.

The fabric also delivers additional tangible benefits, including:

• Excellent resistance to abrasion, tear, and tensile strength
• Lot-to-lot and multi-component color consistency
• Locked in color – resists “frosting” under abrasion
• Dull Matte – non-shiny appearance
• Inherent low NIR reflectance capability
• Resists color loss after UV exposure or washing
• Retains strength after extended UV exposure
• 100% high tenacity nylon 6,6 filament fiber

Additionally, compared to conventional level acid Piece dyeing to SDN, the process used to make CORDURA® TrueLock™ Fabric uses less water, and energy and emits fewer greenhouse gases*.
