AAFA WELCOMES THE NOMINATION OF NELSON CUNNINGHAM AS DEPUTY USTR

The American Apparel & Footwear Association praised the nomination of Nelson Cunningham as Deputy United States Trade Representative.
 
“We look forward to working with Nelson and the USTR team to focus on policies that we need in 2024 and beyond. Trade offers so many benefits at home and around the world, from economic and security improvements to quality of life and access to critical resources, including immigration and national security through trade around the world,” said Steve Lamar, president, and CEO of the American Apparel & Footwear Association.

“Textile and apparel manufacturing are great examples of industries that have the potential to generate immense economic opportunities and bring stability to developing regions around the world. Nelson’s experience with Latin America, and of course with the White House and Capitol Hill, promise strong private-public discourse to move strategic priorities forward.
